Amazon Seller integration, coming soon

Tranzit Group Australia integrates with Amazon Seller Central using the Amazon Selling Partner API. Authorised Amazon sellers will be able to import merchant-fulfilled orders into Tranzit Group Australia, compare eligible carrier services, generate shipping labels, create consignments and synchronise tracking and fulfilment information back to Amazon.

What the Amazon integration does

Built for orders you pack and ship yourself (merchant-fulfilled), alongside your Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay and Etsy orders.

  • Import merchant-fulfilled orders

Unshipped orders you fulfil yourself come into Tranzit Group Australia from Amazon Seller Central. Orders fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) are left alone.

  • Compare eligible carrier services

See the courier services available for each order's parcel and destination, at your own rates or Tranzit Group Australia's, before you book.

  • Generate shipping labels

Print the label for each Amazon order, one at a time or in bulk with your other channels' orders.

  • Create consignments

Each booking becomes a consignment with the courier, ready for pickup or drop-off and included in the day's manifest.

  • Send tracking back to Amazon

The carrier, tracking number and ship date go back to Amazon, so the order is confirmed as shipped and Amazon can update the buyer.

You authorise it on Amazon

The connection uses Amazon's own sign-in and consent screen (OAuth). Tranzit Group Australia never asks for your Seller Central username or password.

  1. 01 / 04

    Choose Amazon in the portal

In the Tranzit Group Australia portal, open Integrations and select Amazon.

  2. 02 / 04

    Sign in on Amazon

You're sent to Amazon Seller Central and sign in there. Your Amazon username and password are entered on Amazon only, never on Tranzit Group Australia.

  3. 03 / 04

    Review and authorise

Amazon shows what Tranzit Group Australia is asking to access. Nothing is shared until you approve it.

  4. 04 / 04

    Back to Tranzit Group Australia

Amazon returns you to the portal with an authorisation for your store, and your merchant-fulfilled orders start to import.

You can withdraw access at any time from Manage Your Apps in Amazon Seller Central. You can also email info@tranzitgroup.com.au and we'll disconnect your Amazon store.

What Amazon information we access

Only the order details needed to ship a merchant-fulfilled order, and the shipment details Amazon needs back.

InformationWhy it's needed
Order ID, purchase date and ship-by dateTo match each shipment to the right Amazon order and ship it on time.
Items, SKUs and quantitiesTo pack the right goods and work out parcel size and weight.
Shipping service the buyer choseTo book a courier service that meets the delivery option the buyer paid for.
Recipient namePrinted on the label so the courier delivers to the right person.
Delivery addressNeeded by the courier to deliver the parcel, and checked before the label prints.
Recipient phone number, where Amazon provides itGiven to the courier for delivery issues only, such as a missed delivery or access instructions.
Shipment confirmation (sent to Amazon)The carrier, tracking number and ship date, so Amazon can mark the order shipped and update the buyer.

Why recipient details are needed

A parcel can't be delivered without a name and address on the label. The courier also needs a phone number when a delivery goes wrong, such as a missed delivery or a locked building. Recipient details are used for those reasons only.

What we don't access

  • Your Seller Central username or password

You sign in on Amazon. Tranzit Group Australia only receives the authorisation Amazon issues.

  • Buyer payment details

Amazon handles payment. Card and payment information isn't requested.

  • Orders fulfilled by Amazon (FBA)

Only orders you ship yourself are imported.

How Amazon data is used

For shipping your merchant-fulfilled Amazon orders. Nothing else.

  • Used only to ship merchant-fulfilled orders

Amazon order and buyer information is used to book, label, track and confirm shipment of that order, and for nothing else.

  • Never used for marketing

We don't send Amazon buyers marketing, add them to mailing lists or use their details to promote any product or service, ours or yours.

  • No contact with Amazon buyers

Tracking for Amazon orders goes back to Amazon, which updates the buyer. We don't email or text Amazon buyers ourselves.

  • Never sold or used for analytics on buyers

Buyer information isn't sold, rented or combined with other data to profile buyers.

Who shipping information is shared with

Only the parties needed to deliver the order and confirm it shipped. We don't sell personal information.

  • The courier you book with

The recipient's name, delivery address and, where provided, phone number go to the courier carrying the parcel, so it can be delivered. That's all the courier receives about the buyer.

  • Amazon

The carrier, tracking number and ship date are sent back to Amazon to confirm the order shipped.

  • Our hosting providers

The cloud services that run the platform store the data on our behalf. They don't use it for their own purposes.

  • Authorities, only where the law requires

Government agencies, regulators or courts, where we're legally required to disclose information.

Retention and deletion

Amazon buyer information (the recipient's name, delivery address and phone number) is kept only as long as it's needed to ship the order.

It is deleted within 30 days of the order being delivered. If a law requires a record to be kept for longer, such as for tax, only what that law requires is kept, and only for as long as it requires.

If you disconnect Amazon or close your account, Amazon buyer information is deleted on the same basis.

Security

Amazon data is protected the same way as the rest of the platform: access controls, authentication requirements, encryption of data in transit, network and application security measures, and staff confidentiality obligations.

Suspected data breaches are assessed and, where serious harm is likely, reported to affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Where Amazon information is involved, Amazon is told as well.
