Printing labels one order at a time is where busy days slow down. With Tranzit Group Australia, a large batch of orders takes about as long as one. Here's how to run it, and what to check first so nothing comes back.
Print a whole day's orders at once
- 1Open your orders in the portal and select the ones ready to ship.
- 2Print. Every label prints in a single run, formatted for your thermal or A4 printer.
- 3Manifests and packing slips print in the same run, so there's nothing else to chase.
- 4Tracking numbers write back to your store and orders are marked fulfilled automatically.
Orders missing required details are skipped and the reason is shown. Fix them and print again; the rest of the batch isn't held up.
Check these details before you print
Most failed or rejected labels come down to shipment details. Couriers need accurate information for every parcel, so it's worth checking:
- The recipient's suburb and postcode match, and the address is complete.
- Contact phone numbers and email addresses are filled in where the courier needs them.
- Every package has its actual weight and dimensions. Couriers can reweigh and remeasure parcels after pickup and adjust the charge.
- The goods description, value and any dangerous goods details are correct.
Label rules worth knowing
A label belongs to the one shipment it was generated for. Don't reuse a label, copy it onto another parcel or change its barcode or tracking number, and make sure it's attached properly along with any documents the courier needs.
